Winter Knitting
Haven't been blogging much, which means alot of sewing going on! I'm knee deep in some costuming projects. Very interesting pieces which I'll share here as soon as I get some decent photos.
Meanwhile I was looking for a quick knit project for some down time in front of the TV.
This headband was knitted from a free ravelry pattern Turband
It knits up very quickly and used exactly one ball of chunky wool that I had lying around - it's years old. I'm not even sure what its made of, but guessing almost 100% wool.
I came across it when I was reading through Liz's blog zilredloh.
The best thing about it is that it's wide enough to cover my ears from the cold, while keeping my hair at bay. And it came in very handy last week when our heating was out for a couple of days!
It looks cozy! I love all the specks of color in your yarn :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks so chic yet warm & cozy for the winter chill also! This is such a great, easy pattern.
ReplyDeleteI love that your yarn has flecks of different colors in it, you can wear it with anything!
It really was such an easy pattern, and was perfect size to use up the yarn ball I had:)
