Some Costume details...

I needed to do some research for the costumes that I made recently - and the picture below is from one of the books I used. It's "Historical Fashion in Detail: The 17th and 18th Centuries" ,that I bought from Amazon.  It's a detail of a cuff that I wanted to use on one of the Gowns.

I also embroidered the panel used on the stomacher, after getting the inspiration for the colours and design from the same book. The gown is currently being worn at the Bishop's Palace in Waterford by the character Lady Este. I haven't seen the entire tour/show yet, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the costumes in action! I'll be sure to share some pics of them then :)
